Q. Does the library have laptops for checkout?

Yes, laptop computers are available to check out at the circulation desk on the first floor of the John C. Pace Library.

UWF students, faculty, and staff may checkout laptops for the time periods listed below. 6-hour and overnight loans require a valid Nautilus card and university Gmail account. Borrowers are required to sign a form acknowledging that they are aware of the library's policies regarding equipment loans. Borrowers are responsible for any theft of or damages to items checked out to them.

Laptops are allowed to leave the building and are due back by the time specified at checkout. If a laptop is returned late, the borrower will be fined at a rate of $1.20 per hour for a maximum fine of $12.00 a day. Borrowers are responsible for any theft of or damages to items checked out to them. See the link for replacement costs below. The laptops come with a variety of preloaded software applications. 

6 Hour loans - 6 hour laptops may be checked out anytime the library is open. Items checked out within 6 hours of closing are due back at closing.

Overnight loans - Overnight loans are available Sunday through Thursday after 7:00 p.m. and are due back by 10:00 a.m. the next day.

Long Term Loan - Faculty, staff, and students with a full-time faculty/staff sponsor can check out laptops and various other classroom equipment using the appropriate forms below.
