Q. How do I obtain a community card?

The University Libraries are happy to offer borrowing privileges to community members who live in the Panhandle region. In order to obtain a community card, you will need to present a photo ID and proof of current local address (i.e. utility bill) at the Circulation Desk. If you have a state of Florida issued ID with a current local address, there is no need to present additional proof of local address.

Community borrowers may check out up to 4 items at a time, including up to 3 DVDs. Books check out for 28 days and DVD and other media for 7 days. Community borrowers are not allowed to renew items. Please see our Community Use Policy for more information.

Community library cards are issued only to individuals 18 years of age and older. Individuals who are 16 or 17 years of age may be considered for an exception, at the discretion of the University Libraries, if they demonstrate an academic need for library access.
